Stove Gasket Cement is a clear liquid adhesive that will bond gaskets to stove doors and does not require heat to cure. This specialized clear stove cement resists temperatures up to 2000 degrees Fahrenheit and is perfect to adhere fiberglass gaskets on wood stoves and wood inserts. This product is composed of pure sodium silicate. To use: apply to a clean surface free of old adhesive. If possible apply to the horizontal surface than work gasket into adhesive. For vertical surfaces apply to gasket working the adhesive into the fiberglass then place gasket. To make product stickier mix 50/50 with Furnace cement. Allow adhesive to dry 24 hours before firing. Wipe up spills immediately with a wet towel.
Caution:
The product is alkaline. Avoid contact with eyes, skin or clothing. Will Etch Glass!
